The Story of Somnia

Dreams are the most vivid stories we tell ourselves, yet they evaporate almost as soon as we wake up. I wanted to build a digital pensieve: a place to catch those fragments before they disappear.

Somnia is an anonymous dream-sharing community where the surreal is the norm.

Why Anonymous?

Most social media is about the highlight reel of our waking lives. Somnia is the opposite. It’s about the raw, unfiltered subconscious. I chose an anonymous posting model (no login required) to encourage users to share their wildest, most embarrassing, or most profound night visions without judgment.

The Build

Somnia focuses on a clean, minimalist UI that lets the stories breathe. To keep the community safe and the quality high, every post goes through a moderation layer before being published to the 'Read' tab.

Capturing the Subconscious

Somnia isn't just an app; it's a window into the collective mind. Whether it's a recurring nightmare or a flying adventure over a purple ocean, Somnia ensures that these ephemeral moments aren't lost to the morning sun.
